Current Projects

The Dummy is an upcoming comedy-drama short film written and directed by Ian Lane, a Cinema and Media Arts major and senior at Anderson University. The film will be shot over the course of two to four days on weekends, and will be featured at the Black Bird Film Festival in May.

"Dr. Arthur Price's newest patient is a dummy. No, the patient isn't an idiot, it's a child-sized doll. Brought in by his "brother" Ben, Arthur must treat the dummy in order to comfort his brother."

Tobi, a young Nigerian–American guy has always lived under the shadow of his mother who practically makes his decisions. Almost every other person around Tobi thinks he needs to break free from his Mother’s grip.

• TYPE OF FILM: Non-Union Movie (Drama). • COMPENSATION: Low-budget (Wide distribution and publicity guaranteed)
ROLES • Tobi(Age 25-35): A handsome Nigerian-American man, with a sharp sense of style, friendly looking and easy going. (The role is open to all African-Americans)
• Nelly (Age 20-28): An African woman with all the confidence and beauty of a model. She is confident, with a good sense of fashion.
• Mrs. Odera (Age 45-55): A typical Nigerian woman who has had to survive life without any major support.
• Lauryn (Age 23-28): A black-American lady, beautiful, with a relax sense of fashion.
• Vic (Age 10-15) A boy with a great sense of maturity that is too much for his age.
• Andy (Age 24-35) Hispanic guy with a great sense of humour. • Chris (Age 28-38) A mature and relaxed guy.
For ensemble roles all race are welcome to take part in the movie.

A narrative short film following an interracial couple from their first meeting to a culture-based conflict. The film highlights the inherent difficulties that can arise in relationships that involve different ethnicities, while also positing the worth of those relationships.

I STILL BELIEVE is the true love story of Jeremy and Melissa Camp, who met at college in the late 1990’s. Jeremy was an aspiring singer/songwriter, having been taught by his father to play guitar as a young boy, and Melissa was a natural with kids so she thought she would likely be a teacher. It was love at first sight for Jeremy, but for Melissa…not as much. But eventually, after much charming persistence on Jeremy’s part, it became clear to both of them they were meant to be together. They dreamed dreams and talked about the future, having no idea that ahead were obstacles and challenges that would shake them to their core, forcing them to figure out, each for themselves, what it meant to be a person of faith, to accept the will of God, no matter what that involved. Their love story was not an easy one, but through the joy, laughter (lots of laughter), sorrow and tears, their story inspired many, and continues to have an impact far beyond what either of them could have ever imagined.

Grace Beyond Humanity is a christian production that explores the common emotions that victims and offenders feel.  We are casting for 2 adult males, 5 adult females, 2 children (12-16); 1 female vocalist, and 4 dancers.

David Overhill is trying to put his life back together.  After spending 19 years in prison for manslaughter, he moves in with his sister Petra to the small town in Oak Hill, Florida in order to have a “fresh start”.  Little does he know, however, that his daughter Naomi has also moved to Oak Hill with the intention of putting him where she thinks he belongs:  back in prison.

 We promote the fact that black white gay lesbian and straight should not discriminate against each other, it’s kind a like a public service announcement that I am trying to create for social media, but it will have dialogue

Bad Superheroes is the tale of four people who inherit superpowers,  but have no interest in using them to better the world around them.  This is an animated project and we will be casting for voiceovers 

Our lead character,  Paralita is there rightful to a kingdom in an unknown and undiscovered planet, Mandelia.  She meets Titus and Dimitris on earth while her nemesis quietly follows her tracks.

This short film will be shot in South Bend, IN the weekend of April 6 & 7, 2019.  We are searching for actors at least 21 and who could pass for no older than 25.  Cast and crew will receive craft service during the shoot, IMDB credit, a DVD of the film upon its premiere, and a future cast & crew party.  Auditions will be conducted on Saturday March 30th in South Bend.

Grandma's Visit is the story of how a depressed and failing grandmother reconnects with her grandson and his friends and how it restores her self-worth.

This is a short film thesis project for Colorado Film School. It will be filmed locally in Denver. It is not a union set but will be run like one. 

When a quiet dishwasher moves up to the salad station for a busy Saturday night dinner service, the high-stress environment of the kitchen takes a toll, both on him and his daughter who awaits him at home.
