Project Description:

My Matey Mouse is a minimal dialogue, emotionally-driven short film about Maurice, a reclusive widower who has shut himself off from the world following the death of his wife during COVID. His carefully controlled life is disrupted when signs of a mouse appear in his home, triggering his anxiety and forcing him to confront the isolation he’s clung to for years. As the mouse pushes him to his emotional limits, he slowly reconnects with his estranged son, Mason. Through quiet tension, visual storytelling, and subtle performances, the film explores grief, fear, and the slow journey back to human connection.

Tone & Style:

Visually expressive and intimate. Influenced by character-driven dramas such as The Whale and A Man Called Otto, with minimal dialogue and a strong emphasis on physical acting and emotional presence.

Hello!

I am looking for 2-3 actresses 20-40 years of age who would be willing to help train EMS professionals (EMT's, Paramedics, Firefighters) at the EMS World Conference on October 20th in Indianoplis. 

How to audition: for those who are interested:

1) please send me a head shot and full length photo. if you would like to send a photo "in character" as the 9 months pregnant woman you are welcome to do so but it is not required. 

2) i will send you the various scenario prompts along with sides if you would like them or you are free to totally adlib the scenario as long as you stay within its confines.

3) you will then do a minimum 5 minute self tape portraying the entirety of the scenario, i.e. your character in labor and delivering. I am happy to send you several self tapes of previous actresses i have used, if that would also help you perpare for the role. 

What i am looking for in the self tape: is simple realism, putting yourself in the place of your character and showcasing the dramatic and brutal emotional and physical realities of childbirth. you can scream, cry, curse etc as it pertains to your character or the scenario. However, I would request that only you appear in the self tape and no other actors please.

About OB for EMS Obstetrics for EMS was first Imagined back in 2015 during an eye-opening independent study course at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. During this course, I set out to learn about all of the obstetrical issues I could legitimately be called for yet never got trained on in Paramedic school. Shockingly, there was quite a long list of life-threatening issues that were either never covered or quickly glossed over. Additionally, to educate myself properly on these issues, I had to travel all over my home state of Texas and to Las Vegas, Nevada. There was no centralized Obstetrics course that can realistically and comprehensively train EMS. Until Now This course was created after years of study in prehospital birth, Training as a Doula, Childbirth Educator and as a Midwifery Student. This of course was undertaken while working full time as a Paramedic. Being able to have feet in both different yet similar worlds has allowed me to put together a course based on Midwifery care principles yet firmly grounded in EMS. Simply put, Obstetrics for EMS is the course I wish I would have had during school.

Jarell House (Creator) born with brittle bone disease i was imited to hobbies as a child then found theater and film making! my goal is to create fun, comforting and inclusive projects.  Yes this is an amateur project so to speak but but please be commited, i am pretty open to schedule flexibility.

There are 6 episodes in a seaaon and shooting is done two days a week for 3 hours.

ALSO, i will pay each cast member 15 dollars per episode as well as providing snacks and beverages on set.

The story is of Dexter Smith your typical citizen of "Municivalley, gifted with the Superpower of Shapeshifting, Being the Son of a mortal and a world renowned supervillain known as "The Eradicator", Dex has a lot of trials ahead of him. When his mother goes missing and his father goes into hiding he is forced to move in with his now retired superheroes Aunt and Uncle Flor and Mike and their uniquely super powered kids. The story will show the struggles of teens and having families that are on different sides of the moral compass.

Casting a faith-based, cirque-style theatrical production. IT is a touring live show that includes acting, dance, aerial acrobatics, martial arts, music, and more. Production states: "The show has been running for more than 10 years and nearly a million people have seen it live. It is a retelling of the 'story of God' through visuals and choreography. It is not a traditional musical/play with speaking parts. It is a visually driven show where actors use choreography, movement, and physical acting to tell the story of Jesus."
